A commenter earlier noted that a Florence tour company will be offering Vasari Corridor tours again this spring. There is nothing on the official site yet, but if they have access, it has to mean that the general public will have access also. I suggest checking this page often if you are interested in visiting this spring.
Late last year I was told by staff that this decision was up in the air - they would prefer to close the corridor and renovate it - but they don't have the funds at the moment. I will try to ask at the museum this week about the status of visits this year.
