Things do in Florence in September

September is full of things to do in Florence and Tuscany, and a great month for wine lovers.

One of my most favorite annual events, the Festa della Rificolona, is on September 7th. This is a procession/parade with medieval roots (probably related to harvest time) that is meant to commemorate the Feast of The Madonna. Not to be missed if you are in Florence on the 7th.

There is also a great contemporary concert happening at the Teatro Verdi - David Byrne & St. Vincent! You can read more about that here.

And then of course September in the Chianti Classico zone... and the amazing Vino al Vino of Panzano (as well as the annual tasting events in Gaiole and Greve).

There are also other things happening - like San Frediano a cena (probably sold out already, a fantastic neighborhood night out) - or check our calendar for more ideas!
