April 9th to 17th has been announced as the 13th Annual Cultural week by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities . This is a great time to see many things in Florence (and all over Italy) for FREE. Besides all the state museums (which are many of the big ones here: the Uffizi, Bargello, Accademia, Pitti Palace, etc.) there are usually many other extraordinary openings like palazzos and libraries, etc. that are normally closed to the public. This is the announcement (Italian only), I would presume there will be more details coming.
