The special Leonardo da Vinci Exhibit was scheduled to open yesterday. I am not sure if it did - we were there just last week and it seemed like there was a lot of work still to be done:

Florence, March 27 - A famed study of the brain by Leonardo da Vinci is the star of a new show exploring the workings of the Renaissance genius' own mind .

The brain and skull studies, preserved on the so-called Weimar Sheet, have come down from the German city to Italy for the first time ever .

The show at Florence's Uffizi Gallery, opening on Tuesday, also boasts a celebrated self-portrait, loaned from a Turin museum and his famous St Jerome from the Vatican Museums .

The Uffizi exhibition aims to paint an "undistorted" picture of Leonardo's contribution to science, technology, art and culture, organisers say .
