The Odeon has just shut down for the summer like they do every year. Tonight I happened to stop for aperitivo in Piazza Strozzi, and on my table was a flyer for the "Open Air" theater. This summer's first film (only?) is Full Metal Jacket by Stanly Kubrick, and from what I can read, the star of the film, Matthew Modine, will be in attendance. I met Modine once at a Jerry Brown for president rally in Washington Square Park, circa 1985 I guess... (yes - 25 years ago!).
