Caffè Italiano - no more "free" lunch

Okay we all know there is no such thing as a "free" lunch, but we have been going to Caffè Italiano for what seems like the last couple of years for the first course all inclusive lunch - primo piatto, bottled water, wine, bread and coffee - for euro 5.70.

That all came crashing to a halt today when we got charged 20 euro for what used to be 11.40. And we were drinking the table wine - but didn't get charged for it (or it would have been even more)! The primi piatti were 6 each (which is not horrible) but then the water was 4 (for one bottle!) and the two coffees were another 4.

This is still a good place to eat - but it went from real bargain to slightly over-priced (in my opinion) in a blink of the eye. Just wanted to let everyone know since I have been raving about it on this blog and in many other forums, etc. for a while now. Arrivederci Caffè Italiano!
