VorbergIn the hopes of starting something new for those of us who do not have cats: Friday Wine Blogging. Tonight, Cantina Terlano Pinot Bianco Vorberg Riserva 2002. This is the third wine (the "Winkl" Sauvignon and the "Terlaner" Classico - my favorite so far - being the others) we have tried from this cooperative in the Alto and all have been excellent. The 2002 Vorberg is 100% Pinot Bianco, which is fermented at controlled temperature in big oak casks. It is a clean white wine, with apple, pear and slight citrus flavors. Very smooth with a hint of vanilla and caramel. I enjoyed this bottle very much. The producer says it will age for 10 years - I don't know - I would drink it now! About $15 to $25 a bottle if you can find it in the U.S.
