Subway Trains Collide in Rome

ROME (AP) -- Two subway trains collided during morning rush hour Tuesday in Rome, injuring about 60 people, Italian news reports said.

Ambulances, firefighters and rescue teams rushed to the subway station in central Rome. The area was cordoned off.

The ANSA news agency reported that 60 people were injured, including 15 in serious condition.

The cause of the accident was being investigated, ANSA said. No further details were immediately available.
